Basically I have a blackberry and its awful but thats not the point. I have ages left on my contract and in the t mobile store where they can't actually do anything, they said I could possibly upgrade early or pay to upgrade early. The idea is to get an iphone 4. Anyone done this before?

I'd wait to the iPhone 5 now, and you can usually only do an early upgrade a month or two before your contract expires otherwise your network will charge you through the roof. Best off to wait IMO
