It's pretty simple, try doing a more isometric image (habbo facing diagonal) to get better at what you've already done

The little guy must wear a paper bag over his head constantly, the shades on his body are allot darker than those on his head. Good work though, don't feel like people are trying to patronize you or make your work seem crap. People are just giving you opinions so you can improve on them.
