Half Done - Monster looter.

This is half of my monster looter. this is the bottom part which does all the killing and transports all my loot from the centre whole to my house. the top half is just a big black room with water flowing towards the holes in each corner. Since the room is big and dark is should spawn lots of zombies, skeletons, creepers and spiders which gives me a lot os string, feathers, arrows and sulphur

There was a thread about this not so long ago.
You have to search for a certain chunk to find the area that spawns most mobs, and then build the tower there.

Have you done that? If not it might not return with much loot.

Yeah you used to have to build it on chunk 0,0. But after an update a while ago where Notch rewrote the spawning code, these sorts of looters are hugely LESS effective.
