    Question HabboxLive Song Reviews

After looking at the HabboxLive Song Reviews I was wondering if it was possible to split the song reviews up into categorys e.g. Rock, Pop, Rap or either Hot Songs and then when no one has reviewed for a few days it is moved to Reviews? I have never reviewed a song and don't really think they are promoted as much, what does everyone else think on this topic? Discuss

Also, DJ Bethie did a show all about song reviews, she use to post it in one of the thread around the Forum and get a few people to review it for her and she'd have a mini debate on the song, then play the song. Maybe another DJ could pick this up and turn it into a perm show?

I actually think this is a really good idea, people have different tastes in music so it could be hard for them to find a song that fits their prefered genre.

oh and to add i do agree with you that song reviews arent really advertised that much, i think there was talks before about listeners possibly be able to do their own song reviews to submit to the site obviously by moderation from the current hxl management of course. Just something to get the listeners move involved in the site not sure if thats still going to happen though.

It could be a good idea to promote the reviews a bit more, as they are usually pretty informative and I see them as being quite accurate.

I'm not really bothered in terms of sorting them into genres. You could always but the genre next to the title in brackets on the reviews index.

Never the less, it is a good suggestion

This is a good idea and something that I would consider in the future. Hopefully we can get it so people can submit their reviews and so the reviews themselves can look a bit nicer and are easier to navigate around. It will have to wait though as the way the site is now it would be impractical to have a whole new system

Not being funny but I was surprised anyone actually read them, I don't read them because they look pretty old considering they're blue html links. That's just my opinion, perhaps you could fix that in the future.

Agreed in a way, although if there was a perm show I think more people would start to read them! Are there currently any competitions for people to get their review published? Maybe do like

Week one - HabboxLive DJ reviews a song
    Week two - Listener reviews
    Week three - HabboxLive DJ

etc. And the prize could be getting their review published and some furni relating to the competition such as a writing desk and something to do with music.

I think ideas suggesting ways which song reviews could be incorporated into the HabboxLive section of v6 when HabboxLive merges with Habbox.com later in the year would be beneficial for us all, if any of you guys have any ideas!

I'd have to agree with you there buddy. But unfortunately, we can't really do anything till the v6 integration and what not.

As for the show, it would be great, but I don't think anyone would take it up. Although, the perm shows should be sorted soon and from there we can take a look. Other ideas could include a HabboxLive world chart shows where people would vote for their favourite music and top X amounts would be reviewed weekly, but that again needs the will power of a DJ to do. I'd personally like to see it more integrated with the listener and listener participation, as I am in doubt how many people actually do read these.
