I guess this is news because it's kinda a new feature or I'm a few months back...
Holding control/cmd on a Mac when you click a furni picks it up.
Just like holding alt moves furni.

Never heard of this before.
Does it automatically pick the room up or is there a confirmation message first?

No it doesn't pick the whole room up Arron. Just the thing you click whilst you're holding ctrl
