Default is it YouTube or My PC?

So I am have started my own Minecraft series (Lets Build) and I recorded 13-15 minutes of gameplay, edited it, cropped it, rendered it to 1280x720 HD, and it is 3GB altogether.
It is taking EIGHT hours to upload to YouTube.. is this normal?

My PC has decent specs for a 5 year old Dell.

YouTubers always complain that it takes forever to upload their videos sometimes, perhaps it's just YouTube or your internet connection.

I know that YouTube has been having trouble with it, a few friends have uploaded 5 minute full HD, same settings and it says it will take 12 hours, also my internet connection is fine.

8 hours to upload 3GB is fairly average for the UK.

It's your internet connection. Upload speeds are generally quite slow. Maybe compress the video more. YouTube are only going to compress the hell out of it anyway so there's no point uploading in an epic bitrate.

Never listen to the ETA, it always changes. It may or not improve soon

The best time to do any uploading/downloading is between midnight and 6am

Note that while you may have a large download speed upload speeds are different and often a lot lower. Your pc could be extremely fast but with a slow upload rate it could cause problems. I'd recommend testing your speed, making sure you don't upload during peak times and also if others use the connection in your house, wait till they are off.

But as mentioned ETA's often change, sometimes its best to look at the actual size so far uploaded if it tells you.
