Default Serious lack of communication with my school at the moment

Recently I had an operation so obviously could not go into school. When asked for work I recieved a fraction of the subjects I have taken and most of them I could have easily revised for independantly. So I requested the work I needed most, which was science and found to only recieve biology work which is used as her teaching guide and actually had no work in it. So after requesting for a 3rd time they just lazily gave me a disc of the edexcel book, not setting my tasks or even bothering to help me continue as by the time I could work (which was about a week ago) I remembered nothing of what I had done and didn't know what bits to do etc.

Worst of all is my English teacher. I done my final bit of coursework recently and knew I wouldn't be in to recieve the results, so I ask her beforehand to send me them when other people get them. No e-mail. I send her an e-mail asking her to send me them, saying I understand you may have forgot as it has been a few weeks, no reply. I e-mailed my year head (who has been the only person to contact well with) who knows her well to ask her to send it, he said he did, no e-mail. I don't understand how hard it is to open a file and then e-mail me with a letter?

Funny of all things is I get a letter from my biology teacher about some progression thing in class. I found it so funny as I havn't been in for a bloody month and that I only have a few weeks of school so it is pretty ******* pointless.

And so many things have gone on and they didn't even bother to consult me. The year group photo was on last wednesday, I was quite well so I thought I would go along (I missed it but that's irrelevant) and the bloody receptionist didn't even know who I was. If she was informed who I was I could have been able to go down there quickly and get there. A teacher of mine has cancer and I havn't even been informed, I just found out from facebook.

There is something wrong with schools. I needed a rant and I am really tempted to complain to someone.

If helping you is optional, then they will never bother.

Speak to your Headteacher. They're there to sort out their staff so if there is a genuine problem (which there does seem to be) with not receiving sufficient work, then you should consult them. I'm sure they'd love to hear from you if it's bringing your grades down

I second the above, as you sound dedicated to the work and there is no reason why they shouldn't be sending you the work. It isn't hard to just type an e-mail message up and press send.

Speak to the relevant Assistant Head first before you take it any further and explain to them what is going on and your concerns.

    Good luck!
    Jordan
