Never argue with an idiot, he'll drag you down to his level, and beat you with experience.

Tbh it's good and all that but the framerate he's getting on Crysis 2 is only around what I get on my 580 anyway. Two cores but it balances out a bit by having a lower core frequency. And it's much much hotter than my 580 even without the custom fan profile

GTX590 trounces the GTX580, benchmarks are comparing x2 GTX580 in SLI to the GTX590 (+ the 590 runs cooler, quieter, and uses less power)

Unfortunately, there have been a lot of problems with fan noise (to be expected, and I guess it's still somewhat quieter than the 6990!) and with voltage tuning. Altering the voltage appears to actually blow the card to up.

No it doesn't. My gtx 580 runs at 70 degs max when gaming and they even show on their graph it is quieter than the 590, haven't seen any benchmark graphs yet.

Also, just checked a power chart and yes it does use more power than the 580.

Infact the majority of that post is ** so I don't know where you got it from.

omg this forum is so babyish. filtering a 2 letter abbreviation is bull.

    Not the only one.

On the other hand, it still plays all my games fine on high settings.

I would take the 6990 over one of these. Cheaper, performs better and you can actually overclock it.
