[idea] Forum chat box

Ive actually seen this on other forums it works really good
This chat box lets you see new threads posted mute un mute players and a lot more
I was thinking you guys [owners and peoples ] should consider putting this on the forum

This has been bought up time after time and its been declined for the same reasons, i think its mostly because of security, plus it will have to be closely moderated.

spam essentially does that job for the forum so a chat box would deffo be unnecessary.

We did have a chat box that cost quite a lot of money and it was like a graveyard and removed but maybe this is a different one.

In the past there was one, it wasn't used. If a chat box is introduced they might as well close the forum and just have a chat box. My point is a chat box does exactly what the forum does, the only difference is one is live the other isn't.


I don't want one, I don't know about the rest but it's just pointless. It's a forum not msn.

Bad idea, introducing a shoutbox would distract people from posting around the forum and would also need to be moderated 24/7.

People wouldn't really post around on the forum so I feel it wouldn't be useful and would benefit for Habbox.

There are a few reasons why we won't be getting a chat box, it would be difficult for us to moderate, I believe security of the forum is an issue too and also personally I don't think one is needed. The spam forum is practically a chat box where you can talk about random things, what are threads for if not for discussing things? If you want to talk about random things then simple, post a thread in spam and you can chat away!
