    Default Such a liar

    One of my friends got themselves into a little bit of trouble and I found out about it. I asked her what it was that happened and she lied to me. I wanted her to tell me for herself what happened. Should I tell her that I already know and that I know she is lieing to me? I don't know why she isn't telling me she would normally but I don't want to pressure her into telling me something if she doesn't want to but it's just the fact that she has lied that has annoyed me.

    Perhaps she feels really embarrassed about it. I would not give her a hard time unless you find out that she has lied about other things.

    I would say broach the subject with her as there is no point harboring feelings of resentment, when you're not completely aware of the facts. People have their right to privacy.

    The only reason you're feeling put out is because of your own prying, if you hadn't of been speaking about her behind her back then you would be none the wiser.

    If anybody has the right to be annoyed about the situation, it's your friend. Chances are she would of opened up about it in time, but you decided to pressure her, so she lied.

    Tbh Nat with the amount of threads you make on here concerning friends I'm not really sure they are worth your time. Do you actually enjoy speaking to them anymore? If not, then it's time you move on. If so, give them some space.

    To me, this just seems like teenage girls being their ****** self...

    edit: oh that's blocked. In that case, it's just like teenage girls getting rather petty over petty things. Y'all need to chill.

    Of course you went behind her back you're discussing her private business with another friend and reading chat logs that weren't meant for your eyes.

    You say she came to you, but you're the one trying to pry the information out of her, pressuring her to tell you want you want to hear.

    You're missing my point entirely. My point is you shouldn't know that she lied to you, but now you do. So you should be upfront with her and explain that you know instead of keeping up false appearances and letting it cause friction.

    Edit;

    I'm not trying to argue with you. Just giving you a different perspective.

    No I do enjoy speaking to them these guys are out from school that I have known since i was a tot so it just seems a bit strange that she is lieing because it's not really something that she does.

    @Rockyhorror - I totally see your point! but I think I may have confused you but +Rep to you both for the help!
