This topic again. What are songs you listen to that make you happy/cheerful? I'm looking mostly for a female artist with a nice range, or classical.

Ludovico Einaudi - Eden Roc
Avril Lavigne - Who Knows
Queen - Don't Stop Me Now
Outkast - Hey Ya!
...all make me feel jolly. Also, probably a bit of personal preference, but múm always leave me with a weird, happy feeling. Especially their song Green Grass of Tunnel.

When I was about 11 (so, like 100 years ago) I was driving to New Brunswick with my family and my dad was fairly cranky (he's always amazingly cranky when he has to take long drives!). Bohemian Rhapsody came on the radio and he lit up, tapped the beat to it on the steering wheel and started explaining quite happily that he hadn't heard the song in years and years and how much he liked it.
Since I was just 11, and the name was alien, and I'm incredibly stupid I forgot the name and was sort of disappointed at that. But then, maybe, a year and a half later I heard it on the radio again and found the name and since then I listened to a lot of Queen - not lately, though.
I'm not crazy, ask my toaster.
