    Default Elite Rooms [Idea]

So there has recently been an 'Elite Rooms' section added to the 'Cool Rooms' section. I think there should be a better way of judging if a room should be an elite.

Even if there was a requirement asking people to make a poll if they want their rooms to be elite. You would just have to ask 'Would you like to see my room as an elite room' 1) Yes 2) No

I just thought it should be measured better, as a few rooms that have been added to elite are not even that good - obviously that is my opinion, but how exactly are rooms measured when it comes to adding them to elites?

If im looking for elite rooms i generally like to see that effort and creativity has been put into it.

I like to see out of the ordinary rooms, for example many casinos will have booths around the edges of the rooms or along the rooms.
One thing i dont look for is the amount of rares that each room contains, as it would be very un-fair if only the 'rich' got their rooms moved into the elite section.

Obviously this is just how i judge, other people may judge differently.

I agree that there needs to be a better way of judging an elite room. From how I understand it, it is the forum manager who ultimately decides whether a room is worthy or not, however I don't feel that this is made very clear. I think a clearer system of nominations could be implemented that gives every member of the forum a chance to decide whether it is worthy of the elites forum, or not.

Similarly to elite graphics, Elite rooms should not be moved unless there is a widely positive reaction in the thread. There's recently been a room moved to elites that I have raised questions with the Forum Manager about. I dont think we need the formality of polls etc, but if you've got 15-20 posts of people saying it's an exceptional room then it's good enough to be moved imo, similarly to graphics.

If this is the case then good because the difference between a Graphics Manager and a Forum Manager is that the Graphics Manager has lots of experience in graphics, knows what he's on about etc. whereas a Forum Manager manages a... forum. Not a room. Maybe there needs to be a mini-checklist just to think about in the FMs head just to clarify if it is worth moving it to elites.

    Sorry for a late reply.

A checklist would probably be a good idea, makes it a lot easier for me to judge. I suppose I thought the room in question looked good but looking back even though it was a good room it wasn't really of an elite standard. The moderators that are in the Habbo section have been put in there for a reason - because they enjoy Habbo and know things about it so I trust their instincts which is why I let them judge the rooms. Of course users are technically also judging the rooms as one of the requirements for a thread to be moved is good reaction from the public.
