    Default A good CV

    Hello there fellow Habbox forumers!

Well this year [first year college] I've decided that A(s) qualifications are not the way to go for me [I took Maths, Physics, Chemestry & Biology].

So I have decided to apply for a job/apprenticeship in accounting.

Does anyone have any tips when writing out an CV, so far I have my name and details etc and below that I have put my education [GCSE grades achieved].

    Thanks

I've always thought you should put your Work Experience.

Well currently I don't have any xP but the job that I'm thinking about going for is aiming for School leavers as it only requires GCSE results, so I will have the upper edge of being able to apply before them.

    Any more tips?

A little bit about yourself, maybe your attendance throughout school (if it was good) little things like that.

As said above, write a little bit about yourself & also what qualifications / skills specifically you have towards the job.
    Hope you find something soon

Make yourself sound impressive if you haven't got any job experience, they want somebody who is quick to teach and stuff. Big yourself up as much as possible.

I spent 8 hours on one of the days of my apprenticeship talking about CVs.
Some of the most important things I can think of to tell you would be:
Make sure all spelling/grammar is correct. Literally no mistakes (get other people to check)- One mistake and employers are likely to throw it in the bin.
Don't use any colloquial language like mates, innit etc.
    Don't ramble on
Try to format your CV so it looks good but isn't OTT
On the first page about 3 quarters of the way down make sure something interesting is there such as Qualifications/why you want a job in that industry.
Basically just have your name, email, phone number, address, whether you can drive or not, personal profile - (who you are, what you do, what you like to do), qualifications, and the general stuff
If your applying for something specific, like ICT like me, then try to make your CV aimed at that industry. Like when you write about yourself explain why you like ICT and why you think you will do well in that industry

I seemed to have rambled on haha, if you have any questions PM me about it and I'll be happy to help

Oh and you don't wanna make it over 2 pages long. Try and print it back to back, so it looks more professional.

    oyh forgot that one
and if possible use nice paper like a slightly off white almost yellow paper cause it can make it stand out though not required
and put it in a nice envelope, don't just hand it in with no envelope/it's own folder - Shows that you put effort in
