This is just ludicrous, there are so many issues with this act both technologically and politically it's unreal.

I've opposed this from the beginning, it's a waste of time and money for everybody. Many artist agree that distributing your music for free over torrents is a good advertising method and a survey which was produced found that more people who downloaded their album illegally go on to buy the album rather than just buying the album.

Big invasion of privacy. But nothing a bit of ssl can't fix
