I'm sure some teams will take lower levels, because having low levels in a team means that the monsters are also lower-levels, meaning it is easier to complete the dungeon.

Do you mean low dg level teams or low combat level? If it's low dg level, then yeah w117 is fine for you. I'd recommend soloing a bit until you get the hang of it, then joining teams. It can also help if you have a friend to tag along with on the floors.
