Yes, last night whilst driving around with a few mates, my clutch decides to go, it's not the cable but the actual clutch, anyone know how much this will roughly cost to get fixed. I have a Ford Fiesta Zetec 2006

You're looking at a good few hundred quid for a whole new clutch I'm afraid.

    Depends on the car.

To give you a rough example, on a Corsa, it'll cost about £650-750, on a Astra it'll cost upwards of £1,400

We've been trying, we've been crying

I need to believe that people can change
Or else this life has all been in vain
What's the point of fighting if we're fighting for a lie?

My dad told me to be kind to my clutch because they're very, very expensive. Call Ford and ask.
I'm at a point in my life where I don't care if you like me or you don't. If you like me, cool. If you don't, meh.

It's not the clutch but rather the Labour that will cost you a majority of this job. Ring local dealers for quotes, Ford are likely to be more expensive.
    One for the road.

are you having a laugh? What's the clutch made out of, gold? Clutch will be about £600 maximum fitted, unless you go to a main dealer or likewise. Find a trusted garage, or just find a friend with an engine crane and save yourself a wedge. It's a big job because the gearbox has to also come out.

£1400, for a clutch getting supplied and fitted? You could buy a whole engine and get that fitted and still have change from £1400.

In Astra's you'll find that if your clutch goes then so does the fly wheel, and due to the unique way everything is fitted, in a modern Astra you'll be looking at upwards of £1,000 for a new clutch, as most of that is labour.
