Is there no notification system for when you receive +/-rep ?
If there is it doesn't work for me,

There isn't one However, I don't really see the reason for having one - it's not too difficult to click "User CP" to find all your rep, warnings and quotes in one place

quote notifications are pretty useful as it saves time having to go back to the thread to see if someone has replied to what you said. whereas with a possible rep notification, it doesn't help stimulate/maintain discussion or anything evidently - so checking usercp is fine as is tbf.

Well opinions vary, it would be useful to some, if not most.
It's the same concept as the notifications for quotes, coming with the ability to disable them if one see's them pointless..

Regardless of the outcome this is a very good suggestion, I am interested in what everyone else has to say about this.

i wouldn't mind it. It seems like a good idea but I can live without it.

I agree with dirrrrrrty. As there's a constant record of who's repped you already, checking the user cp every month or so means you're not going to miss anything. And if by some miracle you get repped a whole page in a month (does anyone get this?), you can now see all of your rep so you can go to page 2!

I requested this before and was told that it wasn't possible . I'll find the thread. Everyone seemed to support the idea, however. Including my suggestion of a way to turn it off in the UserCP (like the quotes notification).

I think this would be a good idea. Even though I check my User CP pretty much constantly, I do like being notified about things and (if possible), I don't see any reason why it shouldn't be implemented if people have the option to turn it off.

If anything, it would encourage people to use the rep system because they'd be told about it through PM.

**** me PLEASE NO MORE PMS, NO MORE NOTIFICATIONS they are doing my head in. you can already see in your usercp plus under your posts, that's enough. I don't even like this quote thing clogging up my user cp, too many things being added when there has never been a problem before
and yes inseriousity I've had a whole page of rep in less than a month multiple times and whole pages in less than 2 weeks :p
