Practical Test Cancellations

The next test date available for me is July 25th. However I am on holiday until July 28th. I am going to book my test for July 30th (Probably need a day to recover/lesson). Does anyone know when the website updates with cancellations or is it at any time and should I just check daily to see if there is cancellations. Furthermore what is the best time to take your test at? Thanks.

You literally just have to check the DVLA the whole time once you've booked your test. Finding a cancellation is often quite hard. They normally get about 1 or 2. Basically book that one provisionally and then there will be a "find cancellations" thing after that.

But be aware, you can only change your test 3 times.

Also, as for when to take your test, I'd say it depends what you're good at.

Early Morning = Rush Hour = Lots of Clutch Control
Lunchtime and After = Relatively free = Fine
Late afternoon = Rush Hour + Bad Drives = Clutch Control etc.
