    Default Cars 2 Reviews

I thought Cars was Pixar's weakest film to date, not a bad egg because it had some good comedy and heart to it, but perhaps Pixar's winning streak has come to an end? Disheartening to think that they're following Toy Story 3 with this thing and now I'm slightly worried given Cars 2 took five years and that's a LOT of money gone to making a bad film.

Obviously all film is subjective but reading from the critics above, some of them I tend to agree with on film, so I'm not that pumped to see the thing anymore. I wasn't that pumped anyway since it's a sequel to a very weak film from one of the best movie studios in the world.

Am I the only one who was less inclined to see this thing and now more so?

Well i dont agree with critics views usually anyway. Thats why i use IMDB, it uses critics and users views to give a more accurate score as an audience member. Seeing as it scores 6.8 on IMDb i doubt it's a terrible film.
My second point is that Pixar are deffinatley not on a downward slope. Before Cars 2 was Toy Story 3 and before that was UP, 2 massive hits. It's normall to have a duff film now and then. I'm not a huge fan of pixars newer franchises (Like Cars and Wall E) But then theres gonna be haters

My final point is that Pixar is aimed for Children prodominatley Children don't care about reviews and thus this film will still do stupidly well in cinemas.

The parents of those children will read the reviews.

I very much doubt they would. I genuinley don't know a parent that cares about reviews as much as if Pixar made it.

There are plenty. Our kid movie readership on Screenjabber and reader feedback proves that.

I remember watching cars and it was watchable. as pixar have set very high standards with films like toy story and finding nemo, they're bound to have a film that isnt as good. I'm not that fussed about cars 2 but don't think pixar's winning streak has come to an end over one film!

Sounds unlikely. If a child begs his mum to go and watch Cars or whatever, in the cinema, I doubt they would go online and check the reviews as it is a childrens film, and the only people reviewing it are adults. Of course most adults won't enjoy it, it's not meant for them.
