Default vBulletin Admin CP link +REP

    Hiya guys,

    I have a question,

you see if you're an administrator on a vB forum and at the bottom it says "Admin CP" with a link to the admincp folder that you set in the admincp, but I need to change something.

I need it so it doesn't redirect to like %foldername_set_in_admincp%/index.php but like %foldername_set_in_admincp%/ if that makes any sense

From what i remember you have to change the "Admincp" folder to something like: google123tryguessthishahaha
And then go into config.php file and change the Admincp link also to: google123tryguessthishahaha

    Hope this helps (Y)

Simply rename your admincp to the folder you want it to be named, then it should automatically change the footer url for you. If not, simply go to admincp - templates - edit style - footer - and change the url.

Thats wrong. It doesn't automatically change.
You need to edit it in Config.php as-well.

I know how how to change the name of the folder

But when you change name in config.php etc you just put the directory, then it puts the link in the footer as %foldername%/index.php not %foldername%/ if you get what I mean

open includes/config.php and look for this:

    PHP Code:
// ****** PATH TO ADMIN & MODERATOR CONTROL PANELS ******
// This setting allows you to change the name of the folders that the admin and
// moderator control panels reside in. You may wish to do this for security purposes.
// Please note that if you change the name of the directory here, you will still need
// to manually change the name of the directory on the server.
    $config['Misc']['admincpdir'] = 'admincp';
    $config['Misc']['modcpdir'] = 'modcp'
Change admincp to the correct directory to your administrative interface.
