    Default Desktop Speakers > Laptop

    I want to hook my 2.1 desktop speakers with my laptop, my desktop speakers got that green and brown cable things, how can I hook that up with my laptop because there's only one green speaker port.

    Your going to need a USB sound card, Can't do it with just the green, unless you get an output splitter, but it wont be in 2.1 if you go for that route.

    The best way by far would be a USB sound card

    The spiller you plug in one end to the green, and it has 2 green ports at the other end to plug in say, headphones. Hence why it wouldn't be in 2.1 and the USB sound card is 100% better.
