I heard prob a few years ago theres virgin box's which have been hacked which means you can watch anything but not have to pay for anything, what are these called and how much do they region for?

Last year all Virgin Media customers were sent new Smart Cards for their set top boxes, which use 'Nagra3' encryption or something along those lines... so I don't believe it's possible any more.
It's also illegal (but let's face it, you knew that) and according to Virgin themselves, highly detectable if you had an older chipped box.
