Going to catch you on that one bro. First ill start with the Male Grooming
I'm a very clean guy, i cleanse, tone and put a repair on my face twice daily aswell as shower - shave and wear cologne all the time. I personally want to look good, so i do these things. Even things like getting Micro-dermabrasion or a facial, i still do them because it helps.
Back to the Horrible skin - i also suffered severe cystic acne for three years and nothing i did/ate affected or helped it. I was literally stuck with a face so painful it hurt to sleep on my pillow. I tried proactiv and everything, my last option was Roacctaine and 8/10 people that use this medical treatment for acne end up developing mental problems as a side effect. Therefore - i just had to put up with it. (bear in mind cleansing, toneing and repairing twice a day for 2 years didnt help). I still have very light pigmentation my skin from the pimples and get a couple a week - but i can maintain them now i've learn't how my skin reacts to certain products.
Sorry for the news article-post but i feel strongly for this subject. Though, the dirty skaters that don't do anything for their skin, i agree with you there.
A healthy glow doesn't hurt either, think some of HxF should probably take that up.
Did you go to your gp about your acne? I know people who have had the same problem and were referred to a dermatologist and were prescribed medicine and underwent a skincare program thing to help and their acne started to clear up a lot.Going to catch you on that one bro. The earlier you go about it the quicker the acne problem could be resolved.
I personally think boys who don't try and clean up a bit are disgusting.

Does getting my eyebrows plucked on a fortnightly basis by my girlfriend count as grooming? If so, I get my eyebrows done. I only shave around once a week because I really like having stubble but when it gets out of hand (after the week), I shave it. I bathe and shower as much as any other average person because I hate the fact of having greasy hair/smelly pits (TROLOLOL) etc etc. Well yeah, that's it I think.
I don't like body and facial hair, it just adds shadow and contours in all the wrong places so that goes. I moisturise but not too much or you just get oily which is also rank, and I also do my eyebrows when the need arises. I very much like to be clean and presentable even when no-one's going to see me, it just feels wrong not to be
im not gonna lie, i like the look of pretty boys with no body hair and babyfaced skin etc, i even like it when some wear subtle make-up but that's all i like doing, looking. i like MEN, i hate the smell of aftershaves and deodrants, i don't use face wash or moisturizer and wouldn't expect my boyfriend to either. if you look better in a dress than me or spend longer getting ready than me then i probably wouldn't like you. not saying i like men who are dirty or don't care about their looks but i dislike those who care a lot about their appearance and find them rather boring and wimpy. i'm probably in the minority of girls though soas long as a guy looks after himself inside out then it's all good and i prefer a little facial hair too (a)

Nah that's certainly not a minority opinion, most women prefer "manly" men because it's a primal thing to want protection and someone who can hunt and provide etc., supposedly we're getting more towards wanting pretty boys because we're evolving so rapidly away from those sorts of needs in the west but it'll prob be a few more generations before my sort becomes the preferred option![]()
I shave weekly, and wash daily (obviously), and use a face scrub twice daily, cleansing wipes and spot cream if I need it. Again obviously I use deodorant every morning - and evening if I'm going out.
But I don't do much more. My Dad won't let me use aftershave yet, and well, I don't think there is much more.
I want to take care of myself, not only because I have physical problems to contend with, but because a couple of months ago I had a horrible outbreak of spots and it destroyed myself confidence.
