Unwanted bottom area on site?

I'm trying to find out if its possible to remove an unwanted area on my site. My coder has tried but can't seem to get it to disappear. Some smaller monitors it isn't there.



Simply the background is purple. I want it to end where the dark area is but it adds more purple. I've been told it just needs more content but I've never seen this before. Usually you can have less content and it wouldn't do this.

Anyone got any idea how to stop it making the extra bit?

You would just have to make the frames height bigger
