Default Texture packs for everyone on the server?

Yeah I know this is like my millionth thread, but whatever

Basically when I get my server up I want everyone to have the same texture pack (painterly)

Is there anyway of doing this?
    I'm using a Bukkit server so maybe there's a plugin? I don't know haha.

    Thanks!

Well the texture pack is saved ala the .minecraft folder so unless you somehow forced them to go and download it, I don't think you can. Why would you want them using that anyway?

    Because it looks pretty epic.

I've designed everything on the server in that texture pack and I think that it wouldn't be as good if people used default, compared with painterly.

Some people don't really like using texture packs, I personally don't like texture packs because I prefer what the game is meant to look like.

The only texture pack I'll ever use is dokucraft, period.

I also don't use them because it uses up a lot of my CPU. Some people just don't like it.

Surely that texture packs take up the same amount on the CPU as other texture packs?

Nope, some have higher resolution textures, such as 32x32, 64x64, 128x128 and even 256x256 in rare cases.

Unfortunately there is no way of doing it unless hacking into their computer. Servers cant whitelist texture packs, as it is all client side. You can run a welcome script with a link saying "Make sure your up to date with this texture pack <link>" but other then that you can't. Notch must really start building security checks on clientside modded minecrafts. Usually people can spawn and fly around if they know what they are doing. Just wait for 1.8 because Notch will release a high definition default texture pack
