The only way to keep it down is to put ice over in straight away, but if you leave it long enough without cold ice, there's more of a chance you're just going to have to wait it off.

if you start to feel sick or light headed yr best off going to a+e for concussion, otherwise yr just gonna have tondeal with a lovely bruise.

    what's a dado rail?? :S
anyway, take Ibproufen / paracetamol (not sure which one decreases swelling), put something cold on it and if you throw up go to a+e.
also, if there's any cuts antiseptic, woo!

Thats happened to my sister and I many times in the past. Just place a bag of ice or frozen peas on it and it should go down super quickly!

Green? wtf are u? an alien?

Just put ice on it and if it is still bad go a&e, if its the back of your head it can be really dangerous to sleep.

Put a bag of peas or ice , pretty much anything cold like that held up you it will always help with the swelling. that's the most basic thing.
