I don't think you can? I think you just have to close it when it pops up.

Yeah I did here rumours of it being removed, but every time you go to hotel view it will pop up - It is annoying.

There is no way of getting rid of it, it only comes up when you go onto hotel view or type :news, I just avoid doing both of them

Does anyone get the problem when if you forget to close it and then enter a room, it won't let you close it and it's stuck there?! :/ So annoying paha.

For me it dosen't pop up if:
1. You set a home room
2. You jump from room to room and do not actually leave a room but join a new room whilst in another one

Yeah but what about kicks/bans/auto kicks.
That makes you go to the hotel view, which means the news appear.

I do hope they remove the news, it's so annoying and I never use it.
