    Default Bringing car to Uni?

Basically going to Lancaster in October. I can apply for a parking permit as I am travelling from overseas. Should I do it though? Only been driving a month and my dad says I haven't got enough experience to drive in England but to be honest where else am I going to get experience from. I have enough money thanks to my job on YouTube for insurance, petrol and the car + maintenance so should I bring it or not? I'd be one of the only few there with a car as only people who are disabled, need a car to get to work, need a car for extra curricular activities or those bringing their car via ferry from oversea are allowed to apply for permits. So, if I phone up and I can get the permit, do I bring it?

Yeah they do but after you pass your test you're restricted to 45mph over here for a year, even though almost nobody abides by it. I'll be using it a fair bit, want to pop down and see mates now and again and then will be going out most weekends and staying over with someone.

He still exists? I haven't seen him online for years!

I would go for it if I were you, a car has many uses but it depends on what Lancaster is like and how many times you go back to Northern Ireland while at University. You may find yourself confined to your campus or Lancaster, and find the car useless but it depends what Lancaster Uni is like. Second year it might come in more handy - you tend to get bored of drinking in second year.

I don't really understand how you can have "insufficient driving experience" to drive anywhere in the UK if i'm honest, it's the same wherever you go...

It makes university life a hell of a lot easier when you have a car!!
I'm at a point in my life where I don't care if you like me or you don't. If you like me, cool. If you don't, meh.
