    Default A Level,

Right, for A-Levels, I wanted to do,

    History
    Government & Politics
    Religious Education
    ICT,

Yet, In most of my GCSE results I got C's apart from R.E I got a B.

Going in school to day to Register for Sixth Form, I got told it'd be best for me taking a BETC and one A-Level,
The Only BTEC on there what I was remotely interested in would of been ICT,

But ICT Career wise is not where I want to go, Its Politics and History because there my two passions.

    She thinks i'ld struggle A-Level wise because most of my exam results where C's, ( 1B , 6C's 2D's and 1 E, )

I said if it comes to it' I'l drop ICT,

I'm really up to study hard, at A-Level and I know I can do it,
She said, she's going to talk to my teachers who taught GCSE, to see if i'd be able to it,

But I won't know till the day I start sixth form,

The problem is, If I get told No I can't do them then to look at other options.

Well if it's there opinion that you couldn't do it, but by grades it says you can, then to be honest you should be able to do what you want.

It was the head of Sixth Form who told me all that,
I remember we got told before our exams in Year 11, when we had the sixth form meeting, the basic GCSE results you need, to do A-Levels, was Five GCSES A* to C,

and Now because most of my grades are C's and that was me 'working my hardest' at GCSE I'ld struggle at A-Level,

Were you working your hardest though?

Friends who got A's in history at GCSE were struggling with it at A level, and most ended up with B's/C's, and i imagine a C would translate to like a D/E which isn't really what you want from an A level.

I do think I could have worked harder in some subjects,

But for History, I spent lots of time revising it, The only reason for my C was due to my last exam as I ran out time when writing, A lot of A-level History is Source and Analysing which I can do pretty good on, as that's the reason I got an A in my coursework for History.

i got 4A* 6A and a B at GCSE and i thought i was working my hardest until got AAAA this year with 2 of those being 100% (RS Psychology) and the other 98% and 90% (economics and history). So for some people, like me, A levels actually suite you more because you're more focused in your learning whereas I found having to concentrate on many subjects, some of which i hated, such a chore. Also your exam time table is much more free (less exams not always more spread out, in January i had 3 exams in total all falling on the same day). However this June was much more kind. But yeah i'd say go for it and if you do struggle (because they're quite hard A Levels) drop down to 3 and see how that goes because your passions don't apply to a specific BTEC. Finally i got an A in GCSE RS and got 100% overall this year so you can improve!!

You seem to really know what you want to do so I think you should try to stick to those subjects as much as possible.

I've been scrawling it forever but it never makes sense to me at all...

You may find that A-Levels are not right for you, have you looked into other options?

This happened to my friend who had results similar to yours and she was told she could only do 3 A Levels and another GCSE. Personally I would fight to study what I wanted to study, maybe even get parents in to discuss or compromise.
I think it's extremely unfair of your teacher to tell you whether you'd manage or not, I've had it happen to me numerous times and in the end I've always proved them wrong. She could at least give you a chance to try A Levels and if it's really not working out then change to something else.

ICT at A Level is laughable. It won't help you in any way, shape or form and is nearly as bad a media studies.
