My computer is something like six years of age and I don't have the cash to buy another one but I'll soon have a budget to improve the current state of it. I'll have around £200, I simply haven't had the time to even think about what I can do to make this pile of **** better than it currently is. I thought I would post here as I know several of you that scour this section enjoy suggesting improvements, you do a decent job of it to. Here are my current stats (dont know what ones would be of the most use so I posted the lot).
I'm both media and game orientated and I do a bit of work on Photoshop CS5 as well. I'd like to run GTAIV smoothly and I would like to just give the computer a boost really.

    I appreciate any help given.

If you want to run GTA4 smoothly you'll pretty much need a whole new computer...

You could definitely get a RAM upgrade but IMO it's not worth it seeing as your motherboard is so out of date and DDR2 RAM is getting more and more expensive. I also fear any sort of graphics card upgrade would be bottlenecked by your CPU...

    Get rid of everything.

Save up more money and start again. £200 upgrade for that isn't going to get you playing any games in the past 5 years.

I have to agree with the above two points, GTA IV struggles to run bearably on recent hardware let along six years old.

Thanks for the comments guys, I'll start saving up and look at refurbished or second hand trusted seller items as they are always cheaper. +REPPED the lot of you.
