Any suggestions on removing this bad boy:
Basically someone put water on top of the block that is the sky limit block thing.
I can't do anything about it that I know of so.....
How do you remove it?

Can't you just use dirt blocks to get to the right height and then use an empty bucket to collect the water?

Get to the top (level with top of water), using a bucket right click the top of water. It should all disappear then.
Not played MC in ages, so not sure if it still works!

What everyone else has said, enable flying on the server, fly up there and bucket it.
I totally forgot about the server! I'll have to come online

Fixed for you Aled, just went to the top, got a bucket, scooped up the middle bit, and wala:
