PS3 problem +REP

Hello,

I have had my PS3 for probably over a year and a half and its been great. However it started to have problems last month where every now and then you would put a disc in, and it wouldnt recognise it in a way that nothing changed, as if you hadn't even put it in. It will let you eject etc but wont do anything when you put it in.

Now this is permenant and my PS3 does that for all games. Does anybody know the cheapest way to go about this... Or should I buy a new PS3 :S

It doesn't matter, they sometimes take pity on you. My brother was a good bit out of warranty with his slim and they sent him a refurbished one for free

Thanks, I rang that number and it said the number has changed to ... I rang that number but it wouldnt dial... Going on their website for a number now

Just spoke to him, he told me to do a full format, so when that doesnt work then ill phone back
