    Default christmas lights.

so the guy at the end of my road turned his christmas lights on on the 1st of november, and we all genuinely think he's lost it. he legit went outside, brought his pumpkin in and strung up some flashy santa's and a star.

when do you put yr christmas lights up? do you even have christmas lights?

we tend not to bother because next door goes majorly overboard and we can just go outside and look at his. but when we lived at the old flat the rule was after the 6th of december.

never have, and i personally probably never will either. don't see the point and don't care for the lights either. especially the houses who go complete overboard and make the place look tacky.

We don't have any Christmas lights outside our house. I think it's mainly because we live right at the end of an estate so not many people would be able to see them and we wouldn't be able to see them either. I'd love to have those little white icicle lights outside our house but my mums not a fan of them and said it's just a waste of electricity as we and others wouldn't see them much. Although, my dad did buy a Santa light that would be going near my window.. not sure if he'll put it up this year. If he does, then it won't be until like the 10th of December.

I remember when I was younger I went round a little village too vote for who had the best Christmas light display or something. That's when people had a giant stable with Jesus in and had a foam machine for snow, bit OTT but I loved all of it, was so magical in a way lmao.

My next door neighbour has their christmas tree up already haha

I normally do go a bit over the top with ma outside lights because I've sort of accumalated a bit extra each year and it looks really nice now! This years addition was a santa and sleigh rope light 3D thing to go on the ledge outside. I won't be putting any decorations up until the end of november at least though this year!

We don't usually put any up, except like a string of them along the window if werememberto put them up before Christmas!

This guy who lives in the same court as some family friends has his own radio station where he streams Christmas songs, and you tune into the station and go to his house and the lights are timed to go with the music that's playing, it's very cool. He also does the same thing for Halloween so February-September he plans it, the Halloween ones go up in October, then in November they come down and he puts the Christmas ones up.

We generally put ours up two weeks before Christmas and then go and get our tree ~3 - 4 days before Christmas day.

It's fun though, because we're a village everyone tries to make their lights look better than next doors, it's great.
