    Default Retrieving files

    Ok so I have this file on my usb (Which I don't have) and it isn't saved on my comp but was opened in word preivously and is there in my recent files. Is there anyway I can recover it even though it isn't on my comp? Probs not possible but worth a try. Also I have a mac. x

    I've used Recuva by Piriform before to try and recover stuff, it is by the same people behind CCleaner. The only problem is it's not Mac compatible, at least at the moment but these might help.

    The problem however is I'm not sure if you'll be able to recover the files if you simply opened them with word. Sometimes it keeps temporary backups I believe but I'm not sure how long for.
