Personally, I would consider the Asus Transformer Prime if you're happy to use Android. If not, I would wait to see what the iPad 3 has to offer. If you don't think it's worth the price, it should at least make the iPad 2 a slightly cheaper, and justifiable, purchase.

Just to update this I decided on the Macbook Pro. I got $160 off on one and went for it.

I just got a 2nd Macbook for christmas.. love it!!!!!!!
I'm at a point in my life where I don't care if you like me or you don't. If you like me, cool. If you don't, meh.

It's down to your preference. If it was me I'd get a MacBook. The only reason I'd get a wireless only iPad is to chill in bed and watch movies/play games. But atleast with a MacBook you can do far more than that.
That's why we seize the moment, try to freeze it and own it, squeeze it and hold it cause we consider these minutes golden.

Well they are very different things. I got a laptop and would never ever go ios for computers. Just hate the apple computer os. However i'm waiting for the ipad 3 and will hopefully be getting that. I'd be using it for different things from my laptop for the mostpart i think.
