    Default Swearing/cursing a lot?

Well up until recently i used to swear and curse a hell of a lot. I realised that it was probably making me look a bit vulgar so i decided to try and reduce it. Essentially now i rarely swear, which could only be good i guess.

Anyway, so do you guys swear/ curse a lot in real life? Or what are your thought on people who do?
Bonjour, la noirceur, mon vieil ami
    Je suis venu te reparler
    Car une vision piétinante doucement
A laissé ses graines lorsque je dormais
    Et la vision
Qui était plantée dans mon cerveau
    Demeure toujours
    Parmi le son du silence

I do use it a lot in daily conversations but when people are around that I'm very fond of I limit it to show respect.
That's why we seize the moment, try to freeze it and own it, squeeze it and hold it cause we consider these minutes golden.

I do swear/curse a lot only when I'm talking with my close friends and family. Just you know..using words like ****, ****ed up..nothing offensive to the family. Even when I'm at shopping malls or public areas, I still swear/curse regardless of what people think. In Asia, they might say that you are impolite but I don't care. It's the freedom of speech lol. It's not like they are gonna arrest me for swearing/cursing.

If I heard people swear/curse? It's normal to me as long as it doesn't offend my family members esp my mum like **** your mum or something. That's a big no.

I never really swear inrl. I don't really mind if other people do though, except when people use ******* like 5 times in a sentence, between like every other word.

omg i find swearing a huge turn-off. i don't mind every so often but when you use it more than twice a day i honestly do get turned-off.

my parents never swore and i remember i'd get told off if i ever tried it. even now whenever my brother swears my mum will tell him off (but tbf he's usually swearing AT her). i don't care if that sounds childish but because of it i've never felt the need to :S it doesn't feel right in front of my mum. i don't actually swear at/to people unless it's a joking "**** off" or whatever. the only time i really swear is when i forget something, hurt myself or use it for effect in a 'debate', not an argument i can deal with those kinds but using the f word all the time, using the c word at all and using swear words to insult people put me right off. my grandparent's swear like sailors as do my other family members, i don't swear to fit in with people though because i actually feel uncomfortable doing it. meh.

Actually you can be arrested for foul language if it causes a breach of the peace here. Personally I just think it makes one look cheap. It is not cool and it is not clever imo. Resorting to swearing just shows a distinct lack of
vocabulary and a lack of intelligence and EQ.

I don't even realize I'm doing it and my friends do so it's just normal now. When I speak to people online (skype) I can only imagine how much of a dope they think I am I literally swear in everysentencewithout realizing it, I'm going to try to stop.

No, I don't really swear. Perhaps around friends if we're having a joke but I have never ever ever sworn infront of my parents. It's just not right.

I have discussed swearing several times in English Language though, debating whether it should be seen as good or bad. On one hand, it's not the words that are offensive - it's the people on the receiving end that interpret them as being offensive. Obviously if they're used in a negative way then they have their own set of connotations, but in every day speech it is largely used to bring emphasis to the situation and display how annoyed / happy someone may be. We can't really categorise swearing in general as being bad.

That said, I still find it unnecessary.

I rarely swear irl and when I do it's only around my friends, never sworn in front of parents. I don't really mind if other people swear but I have a friend who swears in nearly every sentence which gets pretty annoying.
