Default In need of a new laptop

My current laptop is on its way out, just replaced the hard drive last week and the processor is on its last legs (RIP).

With car insurance and all, i'm on quite a bit of a budget. I have around £300 to spend but i'm sure I could go up a tiny bit more!

I only really use my laptop for surfing the internet, doing assignments for college etc, so i'm in no need of a gaming laptop.

    +REP for any suggestions!

I have a Dell Inspiron now, and I've had a bunch of problems with it
My sister has a Sony Vaio and she has had no problems what so ever, and even purchased it around the same time I did and its still going strong!

Use Dell for all our servers, desktops, laptops at work, have done for the past 10 years, only a couple have failed which were fixed within warranty.

My Dell XPS 15 is still running beautifully. I'd recommend Dell or Toshiba (got a 4 year old Satellite L40 and it still runs like new).
Never argue with an idiot, he'll drag you down to his level, and beat you with experience.
