Okay, well my laptop got broke (the screen lol) and it has all my music on. Fortunately I synced my iPod recently before the laptop broke so all my music is on my iPod. I'm really **** when it comes down to computer stuff so I was wondering, if I plugged my iPod into an empty iTunes thing would it wipe all the music off my ipod or would it transfer the music to the empty iTunes?

Anyway, if it would wipe my iPod is there anything else I could do to get the songs on my laptop?

As soon as you plug your iPod into a new computer / iTunes then it will ask you if you want to sync your songs onto your computer... so as long as you click yes and let it finish fully then you should have all your music stored onto your iTunes

Wrong. It will do this for purchased music from iTunes, but other than that it'll completely wipe his iPod.

You'll need to find some software to copy the music off... see this:http://lifehacker.com/394046/copy-mu...puter-for-free

When you plug it into a new computer, it will want to wipe it, You need to get a program as Recursion said, otherwise you get your purchased music, but that's it.

Yeah I had this problem a while ago. Go to a torrent site, (or find a free program, but most limit to like 10 songs) then get a program that can let you transfer the songs off your iPod to your new iTunes Library.

Does the laptop have VGA out or or HDMI out? Plug it into a TV, hit FN and F10, the laptop screen will pop up on your TV and you can use a USB Stick to move your music.

    I'll +rep suggestions soon.
I plugged the laptop into a computer screen and it's now just transferring all my songs onto the other laptop. Thanks for the other suggestions though, I'm hopeless when it comes down to this stuff.
