Default Virgin Media Cable internet issues.

Basically, over the last few days I have had a problem with my internet lagging out (Seems like its having a heart attack  ) But basically, I can try and run the online virgin equipment diagnostics and everything comes back fine, but I am having incredibly low speeds, and I keep having an issue with the DNS 'Dropping' out, I can be on the internet fine, and them BAM DNS Server cannot be found, and then I get the little notification saying internet connectivity issues, I have to go downstairs, and reboot the router and wireless for it to work.

but, say I try to run Teamspeak and say, a basic online game, like SAMP, It run fine for say, 2 mins, then it all lags out and I loose connection until I reboot.

Was fine a few days ago, now its doing this, Any suggestions?

Tried ringing virgin, getting to the on hold point, then after 10mins I get cut off, tried the online diagnostics, says everything is fine, so I get the feeling the phone support will just say everything is fine our end.

You can try other DNS servers I believe, for example: http://code.google.com/speed/public-dns/ and see if that fixes your DNS dropping out. I would also suggest you post on their forums which can be located at: http://community.virginmedia.com/ as most of the time you can get better replies and able to get some help if needed.

I was going to, got bored of waiting for it to loads, least habbox is fairly fast because its cached.

As for the DNS, can't believe I've never used a public DNS Before, but how the hell do I change it?
