What Movie Maker do you use?

You may know one of the basic movie makers , like Windows Movie Maker but it hangs alot and I don't know other softwares you should use.
Opinions anyone? I'm trying to do videos but it repeatedly hangs, so I keep loosing my date
I'm looking for a new movie maker that is much better and more quality.

Movie Makers is not a video game console, computer, console hardware or software. BUT i use Sony Vegas 9 pro.

Most common with be Sony Vegas or if you want to get fancy Adobe After Effects.

Depends what your after. For industry standard you would use Avid Media Composer which is both Windows and Mac Compatible but expensive and can take a while to get to grips with or Final Cut Pro which a lot of people seem to find easier but is only mac compatible.

Vegas and similar stuff should be okay if your just doing things for fun.

But as mentioned for video editing you need a good computer with good hardware as a lot of video editing programs are very demanding when it comes to resources. I'd say at least 2gb of ram as a minimum but I'd recommend for heavy usage 4gb and at least a dual core PC.

However basic editing should be okay with lowish specs.
