Do you know how much it hurts when you get sand hurled at you... it's like being being sprayed with high-pressure water..

So that is the reason, sweet. And the fact you'll get wind burn. And I do know how much sand hurts :-)

I don't see what is wrong with going to the beach on a windy day I want to go when there is a big nasty storm during the day. Would be awesome to experience.

Also it may be 33 degrees, but it's generally much windier on the beach meaning it will feel colder. I don't like the beach whatever the weather.

I did go toWalesin august 2 years ago and it was very windy, sand everywhere. Got the worst sunburn I've ever had from there too.

wind + water = fun. Jumping into waves is amazingly fun.

I don't go to the beach for fun, I go to lay in the sun for hours.
