Once again,Applehas found itself as the most valuable company on Earth, attaining a market capitalization of about $456 Billion today, beating ExxonMobil’s market cap of just $402 Billion. Yawn.
More interesting, however, is that Apple’s combined value ismore than Google and Microsoftput together, who are worth $198.9 Billion and $256.7 Billion, respectively.
As we watch Apple race to be the world’s first trillion dollarcompany, I wonder what we’ll all be measuring its value against next. Silicon Valley? The United States? The Moon? The secret to immortality?

Remarkable a technology firm with such few products can become the biggest company on earth. Compared to ExxonOil for instance which has oil fields across the world, owns giant oil tankers and billions of dollars of oil rigs whilst providing essential fuel.

Even being an Apple fanatic, I can say that the rival platforms for tablets and so on do have merits Apple lacks! There is good and bad in each product. Nothing has everything. It's a personal preference, I think - and not one worth fighting over.

I meant it is a good day for those who are Apple fanboys. Please excuse my bad phrasing. I am from France, haha.

No, it's because Apple is one of the very few mobile devices companies that sell decent products.

You cannot compare them with the likes of Google or Microsoft who are software companies.

This is true. People who aren't rich purchase apple products because of the decent technology, the quality and the guarantee that the product can be replaced if damaged.
