    Default caloriesssss +rep.

heyaa. not sure if this is the right place, but lets go for it.

recently i've got very into counting calories (some may say obsessed, i like to think it's a healthy interest) ANYWAY i've been using myfitnesspal but i find it's very vague and sometimes what i want isn't there.

does anyone else have any good sites or even books i could use?

i would write it all down and add it up myself but i fear i'd get far far far more interested if i left the numbers lying around.

    +rep to all

lolol, I was just gonna come and say YES YOU SHOULD USE MYFITNESSPAL but it looks like you already have! I've been using it since late January now, just to see the amount I actually eat compared what I should.

ha, i should really get back into using it. planned so much stuff ahead of time to make sure i was only eating 'x' amount of calories. but now i just calorie-count in my head really.

I use a better program called MyNetDiary on iP2 but it does cost money. I like it better, anyways.

I tried myfitnesspal but found it quite confusing to use. I know you said you would prefer not to write them down, but its an easier option imo.

I've never bothered with calories before but my great-uncle's doctor asked him to keep a record... so I thought I'd do it just to see what I eat. It's quite accurate too tbh. I eat well under the recommended allowance and it keeps giving me the whole "YOU ARE GOING TO GO INTO STARVATION MODE" and then says how much I'll weigh within 5 weeks or whatever. It turns out that I actually did weigh that 5 weeks down the line.. it's quite impressive indeed.

Have you tried scanning the barcodes of items? Some stuff doesn't show up in the search I've found.
