    Default broken laptop help?

okay so, my laptop hasn't really been in great condition lately, but it works fine mostly and can handle everything that i use it for. last night, i knocked over a glass of blackcurrant juice and it fell over my laptop, alot of it. it ran all down the keyboard and ran down the bottom and into the fan etc.. my laptop stayed turned on for a few minutes and then it turned itself off. it was quite late at night and i was about to go to bed so i just left it and decided i'd check on it in the morning. i got up this morning, tried to turn it on, the little light came on and the fan turned on for a few minutes but the screen just stayed black. it was turned on though as the 'on' light was lit up, but nothing was happening. i'm actually really lost without my laptop LOL and i'm not a very technical person and i'm not very good at this stuff, so does anyone know what i could do or have any tips for me? i have my stepdad's laptop atm, but he'll want it back so yeah..

Worst thing you could of done is turn it on, you've probably fried something now, trying leaving it to dry out, I dropped my phone in a sink once, left it for 2 days to dry out and it worked fine no problem once it had dried out.

Leave it in a warm place like an airing cupboard for a few days as Jackabee said. The problem is it's a) blackcurrent so it's gonna be a horrible sticky mess inside and b) You tried to turn it on, which will probably have shorted something.

If I were you I'd start preparing to buy a new one.

Tip is with these spills, kill all power immediately (yank the battery and AC adapter out), tip it upside down, leave it for a little while, then chuck it in somewhere dry and warm for a few days.
