    Default Habbo Homes to go?

I tweeted Heini Kaihu before who's head of New Ideas / Re-Inventing old ones for sulake saying '' Have you got any plans to update the off-client forums with new features/habbo homes.''

    She replied with
    ''Forums are good 4 discussion,combined w/ in-client group walls. Homes prob replaced w/ better profiles + wall/guestbook. ''

Kind of makes sense that habbo are moving the majority of things in client. I know some people won't be happy if homes are gone completely because the amount spent on stickers.

I suspected that was you aha! I saw the post on Twitter

I wouldn't be that fussed if they went cause I barely use them, but they still do have some pretty cute widgets on them . "Group walls" sounds kinda interesting.

To be honest this is a good idea because it's easier to access things within the client. No one really uses the Habbo Homes to be honest so this would be a good feature to include.

I like Habbo Homes, it allows me to go and see things about people without bothering loading the whole client such as badges etc and sometimes I comment on their profile.

Yeah. The whole 'let us use things off-client' (with the added benefit of more ad impressions) was a dumb idea. Minimail was a huge fail from the start and people that used it wouldn't get a reply for hours until people chanced upon the Habbo homepage. Habbo Homes were limited and the 'stickers' were pretty lacking. There was only so much you could do. While some people used them and decorated them they weren't super popular. Now, they are almost completely dead. The only thing that seemed successful was the 'group forums' feature which created the whole group of forumers who would use 'chat' groups to talk to each other. Still, I am certain there are better in-client solutions that could keep us minimal as far as how often we have to use the main site. I am glad change is coming.

Well they did move mini-mail in-client ages ago. I kind of liked minimail as it allowed you to send longer messages I wouldn't mass message with it or advertise. But its a nice feature if you need to send a long message with colours ect.

Habbo homes died when they removed off-client group pages I found. At first habbo homes where great but past two years or so habbos just let them died down by not really updating the sticker shop.

Also, I just realised I don't want it to go as the Habbo X (UK) stickers were awesome.

Yeah. It would be great if they created standarised 'profile' pages where we could write in-depth info about ourselves. Nothing too customisable - more 'Facebook' than 'Myspace' if you get what I am saying. The old homes were very Myspace because most looked gaudy and same-y with the awful stickers. Sometimes less is more. Obviously, though, with Habbo themed parts to it as part of the profile.
