1. If you are talking about smithing and mining (making weapons and armour) there is a smelt in Lumbridge [where you get off tutorial island].

The best thing to do is click "world map" it will tell you where everything is.

Open world Map, Press Key, and then it comes with the list of things on the World Map, find the thing you want, click it, and look for a Yelow Flashing light.

That will be it.
