    Default London Olympic Motto Revealed

The London 2012 Olympic Motto has been revealed:

    Inspire a Generation
Possibly the most ironic motto considering they spent billions of the Olympics rather than other more necessary things. They're inspiring us to spend money on impressing others rather than solid foundations.

Of course the aim of the Olympics is to impress others: it's free advertising for the whole of the UK! It would be fantastic if the money was returned in the form of Tourism, but I highly doubt the number will be anywhere near - even over the period of the next few years!

I agree, it's pretty ironic and I'm not feeling it! The Beijing Olympics had a much better motto. Hopefully they can put across that ideology within the course of the event.

It'll certainly inspire a generation to leave the United Kingdom as it sinks under the weight of its own debt.

It's not that bad, now that was an absolute travesty and just seeing the logo annoys me. The motto is very to the point so I don't mind it tbh, it's not particularly fancy, it's just the aim of the Olympics which I suppose is as good as it gets.

Lol didn't even know the olympics had mottos. Much prefered it when they were called 'missions' (okay bad habbo joke there! leave me alone). A very cliche motto but it gets the job done and it's not like a motto is really important in the grand scheme of things.
