Lauren Socha not returning to 'Misfits' for fourth series

Lauren Socha will not appear in the fourth series of Misfits.

A Channel 4 spokesperson confirmed to Digital Spy that the 21-year-old actress will not reprise her role as Kelly in the E4 drama.

"A mutual decision was reached between Clerkenwell and Lauren earlier this year that she would not be returning for the fourth series," it was announced in a statement.

"Misfits has been in production for a number of weeks now and Lauren is not part of the lineup."

It was also confirmed that Socha's departure is not related to her recent conviction for racially-aggravated assault.

The spokesperson added: "No. Clerkenwell Films and Lauren Socha agreed some time ago that along with other cast members, including Iwan Rheon and Antonia Thomas, she would not be returning for the fourth series of Misfits, which is currently in production. Channel 4 supports both parties' decisions."

naw, i refuse to believe that. too much of a coincidence tbf (the bolded sentence). anyway, the last series of misfits was quite underwhelming aswell, so they better sort this next series out, otherwise they might aswell cancel it. should get rid of curtis and rudy and just bring in new characters aswell.

She was such a funny character and I can't believe what she did. Only found out reading the Daily Mail today. I found it kind of funny to be honest. Rudy is a legend and shouldn't go. Besides, he's like original cast to me now.

So, that's three of them that aren't returning now? I didn't even know the other two weren't returning, that's pretty crap. I hope they manage to find decent people to take their place.

I don't believe that it isn't linked to her racial assault either, otherwise why would they bother mentioning the fact that the two aren't linked, the fact that they did makes you think that it is.

I stopped watching it when Nathan left. 4 members of the original cast leaving the show? It's definitely going to get cancelled.

To be honest, I think it is related with the Assault. I mean, they tied up the characters stories for iwan rheon and antonia thomas whereas kelly hasn't reached a conclusion, it seems like they are trying to make her assault and exit unrelated.
