PS3 Fans really loud

A while ago I had my PS3 fixed due to the fact it overheated and wouldn't turn back on - I'd bought it off a friend a few months earlier.

I got it fixed at a local computer store who also fix game consoles but it came back and kept saying it was over heating so it would have to shut down. After it was taken back now it just has really loud fans when doing anything - the guy said this was normal and they should stop but they never do and he seemed to think there was nothing he could do.

I've tried putting it on a metal box, tin etc. as read that can work but it is no good. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi! I'm no genius here but if he can't do anything i would go to a "larger used" computer store they are usually better maybe more expensive but it saves you from buying another PS3
