    Default How to stay healthy

With my experience, experience i've heard & seen & study through the State Emergency Service, i'll be writing up a small guide, for what to do when your hurt, feeling sick & staying healthy.

    Cold
Have a cold? maybe it includes a blocked & runny nose, headaches & so on. What can you do to get rid of it? Well you can't exacly get rid of it. But there are a few things you can do, to get rid of it a lot quicker. To prevent headaches, you have two options. 1, take panadol or panadeine forte(Prefered) & 2, lay your head down & relax it. How to get rid of a runny or blocked nose? If it would be a sunnyish day, go for a 10 minute jog. Believe it or not, doing cardio takes it away 90% of the time. Otherwise, turn on the shower & make it hot & steamy. (Do not hop in the shower, but place head next to it with door open).

    Sickness
Obviously there are all types of sickness, so i'll only go through a couple. Have you got a stomach bug? To fight a stomach bug away, antibiotics is the way. (Must see a doctor for the description). Ok, so maybe your feeling sick in the stomach, feeling dizzy & possibly a little shaky, & feeling like you are about to throw up. You need plenty of fluid(Water), in you all the time. It's also hard to eat food while being sick, but food does also help. Last but not least.. antibiotics is once again, the best thing to fight being sick. Depending what else is wrong with you, well, there maybe something else you'll need to take or do.

    Sore throat
Have a sore throut? maybe a dry throat? Gargle sault water, drink plenty of normal water & take panedeine. Any other type of medicen or panadol may work a little, but not that well unfortunately. Try to keep eating soft food, maybe stuff like noodles, possibly chicken, bananas ect.

    Sharp stabbing pains
A lot of people get this, for all types of reasons. The most common reason, is sitting down all the time with your back not straight (sitting lazyish). Keeping your back straight all the time will prevent this from happening.

    Drowned
Have you just pulled someone out of the water drowned? Place them flat on their back, whichever side you are on, take the arm closest to you, and gently place it over there chest, below their neck, take the leg closest to you, lift it up with their foot flat on the ground, like an upside down V. Gently roll them over the oppiset side of you, onto their side and give them mouth to mouth. Doing this will open their airways & have more of a chance to recover, than drown.

    Blood nose
Grab a tissue, squeeze your nose & tilt your head back. Tilting your head forward will just prevent more blood & will have to wait longer.

    Fit/Seizure
Unfortunately you have to wait for them to stop. But make sure to protect their head with a pillow or clothing. Once they have stopped, rest them on their side & tilt their head back.

    Skinny/Overweight
People are always on about, i need to eat more healthy to become skinny again. That's not really going to do anything. Become a light eater & try eat at a limit for a month or two, and what you do it, make sure it's healthy, but once in a while anything, as you need a little bit of protein. Also, work out. Go for a walk ever day or two, something to do with cardio. If you keep at it, you'll lose weight again. Unfortunately it won't work for everybody as it's human nature.

    How to get arm muscles
Well, simple really, eat healthy, work out & drink protein. THE only protein that does get you big, is called Eggwhite. Any other will make you stronger, but will do the oppiset of getting you big arms.

I'd go into more Rescue stuff, but it's kind of complicated to write how to do things, as it's a lot easier to show. Hope this helps.

I agree with you about eating soft food when having a sore throat, I know it still hurts when I attempt to drink tea and stuff but yeah agree. Nice guide, I'll have a more indepth look later.

not to be rude or anything but are you being serious spelling medicine as medicen and opposite as oppiset??

also I don't think wasting water by turning the shower on without getting in it is a good idea maybe a bowl of hot water and a towel over your head would be better

also if someone has drowned then they're dead so you might aswell chuck them back in the water

    They're called spelling mistakes.
Also no, that does not work, otherwise i would have said so. It only has to be for a couple of minutes.
I do know how recovering drowned people works, it's what you do in CPR & first aid courses obviously, don't be rude.

Nice guides, they do give a few helpful suggestions. Personally I tend to just live with it if i'm ill, and stop moaning! I hate people who go to the doctors for a cold or a sore throat, it's just not necessary. And they wonder why the NHS is so busy...

Thanks for the suggestions but like Laura, I tend to just put up with it and take some paracetamol if i'm ill.
